AIM employs the most knowledgeable engineers in the industry with a vast array of technical experience in custom manufacturing.
We utilize HTRI design software, which is the gold standard in process heat transfer and heat exchanger technology. Our skilled applications engineers can design and quote your unit(s) in just a matter of days.
Compress by Codeware is the ASME Code Calculation program of choice, and is utilized by AIM. With Compress, AIM can quickly perform Code Calculations to the most current version of ASME Code. This program also allows us to run FEA analyses and nozzle loads.
All drawings are created in AutoCAD, with Solidworks 3-dimensional drawings available upon request.
With this trifecta of software, you can trust that AIM will have your vessel designed correctly every time!
Each heat exchanger we build undergoes a rigorous, multilevel quality control review to ensure that our custom-engineered products meet the highest standards. All units are thoroughly inspected by our quality control department and a National Board authorized inspection agency prior to shipment.
Our standard quality control package includes:
U1 or R forms
Mill test reports
Hydrotest certification
ASME code name plate rubbing
As-built drawing
AIM Heat Exchanger's Quality Control Group can perform a wide variety of in-house non-destructive examinations including:
Hot Oil flush
Hydrotest (Chart Recording Available)
Pneumatic test
Dye-Penetrant
Oxygen cleaning procedures and practices that are widely accepted throughout the industry.
We use a third party inspector to perform the following procedures in-house:
Ultrasonic
Radiography
Helium Leak
Positive Material Identification
Brinell Hardness
Hardness testing per API 660, NACE MR-0103, and NACE MR-0175 standards.
We use approved outside vendors for:
Post Weld Heat Treat
Tube-to-tubesheet mock-up weld test
